Container dimensions & internal sizes: 20′, 40′, 45′ at a glance
The key internal dimensions (length × width × height) and the maximum payload of the common sea containers are in the table below — the same values the 3D calculator works with.
Internal dimensions & payload
All values in centimetres; payload as a guide value in kilograms. High cube containers (HC) are around 30 cm taller than the standard version (GP).
| Preset | Length | Width | Height | Payload |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 20′ GP | 590 cm | 235 cm | 239 cm | 28,200 kg |
| 20′ HC | 590 cm | 235 cm | 270 cm | 28,150 kg |
| 40′ GP | 1203 cm | 235 cm | 239 cm | 26,600 kg |
| 40′ HC | 1203 cm | 235 cm | 270 cm | 26,580 kg |
| 45′ HC | 1355 cm | 235 cm | 270 cm | 27,600 kg |
